Allie:  The Azure Moon Mermaid

Allie is a gorgeous one-of-a-kind 27 inch porcelain and cloth Mermaid.  She was featured in the Novemebr 2009 issue of Doll Crafter & Costuming Magazine.  She has a sweet serene expression on her face that is very calming.  Her head and upper torso are made of porcelain with a cloth covered wire armature from her waist to her tail tip, as well as, her arms. Her arms are sequined covered and her delicate hands are made using my handmade fish scales.  The wire armature enables her to sit and pose.  Allie is a fantasy dream art doll.  Allie is now in a private collection.

Every detail is stunning on this One of A Kind fantasy art doll.  Every piece of jewelry has been handmade by me. Her removable necklace is made of cubed turquoise pieces with silver spacers. and closes with a silver lobster claw.  The shell on the necklace is unique with its natural purple center that matches the color scheme perfectly.  I have selected tones of lavenders, blues, and white sequins to reflect the ocean colors.

I have made each individual fish scale for Ally's tail and fin.  She has 3 small balance fins at her waist line.  One on each of her hips and one in the back.  Her tail-fin is made in 2 parts.  It is lined in solid turquoise fabric and the top is made of handmade cloth from metallic ribbons.  It is trimmed with several rows of sequins on both sides. She has a tiny swarovski crystal on her cheek as well as on each of the pearls on her crown.  Her hair was created using premium mohair.
